Melancholie
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE ITA
Bläuliche Schatten. O ihr dunklen Augen,
Die lang mich anschaun im Vorübergleiten.
Gitarrenklänge sanft den Herbst begleiten
Im Garten, aufgelöst in braunen Laugen.
Des Todes ernste Düsternis bereiten
Nymphische Hände, an roten Brüsten saugen
Verfallne Lippen und in schwarzen Laugen
Des Sonnen Jünglings feuchte Locken gleiten.

Melanconia
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Ombre azzurrine. Oh, voi, occhi scuri
che a lungo mi scrutate mentre passo oltre.
Una chitarra accompagna l'autunno, con suoni leggeri,
nel giardino che in acqua e scura cenere si scioglie.
Austera tenebra di morte stanno apparecchiando
mani di ninfe, e a rossi capezzoli si attaccano a succhiare
labbra disfatte, mentre in nero ranno
si sfanno i riccioli umidi del giovane sole.
