Que je sois à l'écoute des pierres,
accorde-moi d'écarquiller les yeux
sur la solitude de tes mers ;
laisse-moi descendre le cours de tes fleuves
loin des criailleries sur leurs rives
plongé dans les sonnailles de la nuit.

Fais-moi pénétrer sur tes domaines vides
que parcourent les vents venus de loin,
où de vastes cloîtres servent d'écrins
à des vies non vécues.
Là, je veux me mêler à des pèlerins,
n'être coupé de leurs voix et de leur vérité
par aucun faux-semblant,
et, à la suite d'un vieil aveugle,
emprunter le chemin que nul ne connaît.
