Qui tous les soirs dans l'ombre se cachait

Sans se lasser il répétait

Mais vint un soir un page avec mystère  
Qui dit tout bas, plus de chant, plus d'amour  
Retirez-vous pauvre trouvère  
Le châtelain est de retour  
Fuyez, fuyez.  
 
Adieu m'en vas ma noble châtelaine  
Plus n'entendrai minuit au vieux castel
