Comme il est beau le voilà qui sommeille ;
Ses bras charmants se croisent sur son sein,
Son front est pur, et sa bouche vermeille
Comme la fleur aux rayons du matin.

Un songe heureux semble bercer son âme,
Il a souri, sans doute il pense à moi.
Un bel enfant, quel bonheur pour la femme !
C'est son amour, son espoir et sa foi.

Protégez le, sainte Vierge Marie,
Reine des cieux, ô mère du sauveur !
