dann auf zu frohem Wandern ins Tal hinein!
Es ist so still in weiter Welt,
so frisch, so blau das Himmelszelt!
D'rum auf zu frohem Wandern!

Wenn rings an jedem Halme ein Demant blinkt,
und rings im weiten Walde es jauchzt und singt,
dann wird die Brust so voll, so weit
ob all der Pracht und Herrlichkeit;
d'rum auf zu frohem Wandern!

O Herz, da lass die Sorgen, da lass den Schmerz
und sieh mit frommen Blicken nur himmelwärts!
Allüberall lacht ja das Glück,
schau vorwärts nur und nicht zurück!
