Der Einsame
Language: German (Deutsch)
Geh' ich einsam in dem Tale,
in der Wiesen frischem Grün,
an der Silberwellen Halle,
wo die Blumen freundlich blüh'n,
denk' ich nur vergang'ner Zeiten
und an mein entfloh'nes Glück.
Ach, die schönen Jugendzeiten,
nimmer kehren sie zurück.

Alles, was mich einst beglückte,
alles, alles ist dahin!
Keine Blume, die ich pflückte,
wird noch einmal mir erblüh'n.
Wie die Stürme Blüten tragen,
trug die Zeit mir alles fort,
und das Herz, das mir geschlagen,
ruht schon längst im Grabe dort.

Immer will ich hier nur leben
in der stillen Einsamkeit,
wo die Bilder mich umschweben
einer gold'nen Jugendzeit.
Alles Teu're meinem Herzen
gibt Erinn'rung mir zurück;
in der Wehmut stillen Schmerzen
find' ich nur mein letztes Glück.
