mit lautem Jubelsang,
da klpoft' er sacht' an das Herze mein
und sprach: „Nun sei nicht bang!

Gar süße Gabe bring' ich dir,
die stammt aus lichten Höh'n;
sie ist des Lebens herrlichste Zier,
auf Erden ist nichts so schön.

Sie birgt gar wunderbare Art,
übt holden Zauber aus,
und wem sie just zu Eigen ward,
dem bringt sie das Glück ins Haus.

Ich nenne dir leis' den Namen traut,
du wahre ihn treu in der Brust:
Es ist die Liebe, du junge Braut,
nun jauchze in sel'ger Lust!“
