Schau dir gern ins liebe Auge
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schau dir gern ins liebe Auge,
siehst du mich auch selten an;
zürne nicht, dass diese Wonne
ich mir nicht versagen kann.

Wie der See so klar und heiter
ist dein holdes Augenpaar;
in den Tiefen hör' ich klingen
Lieder süß und wunderbar.

Ach wie gern möcht' ich mich senken
in den tiefen Grund hinab,
wo das Lied so süß und lockend
klingt herauf vom Perlengrab.

Und die hochentzückte Seele
aufwärts zu dem Himmel zieht,
der im süßen Widerscheine
dir im lieben Auge glüht.
