Liebchens Lob
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es leuchten hell am Himmel
viel' Stern' aus weiter Fern',
doch so wie Liebchens Augen
erglänzt kein einz'ger Stern.
Ihr Himmelslichter droben
mit eurem nächt'gen Glanz,
ach, ihrer Augen Strahlen
verdunkeln euch doch ganz.

Gar feurig ist Tokayer,
Burgunder Hochgenuss,
doch was gleicht wohl dem Feuer,
gleicht meines Liebchens Kuss?
Das rinnet heiß belebend
durch Adern, Mark und Bein,
ist feuriger und süßer
als aller Erdenwein.

Der Sonne gold'ne Strahlen,
des Mondes Silberlicht
erreichen Liebchens Schönheit
und ihre Anmut nicht.
Im Himmel und auf Erden
kann Schöneres nicht sein,
d'rum soll mein Lob ertönen
der Auserkor'nen mein.
