April
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
April, april! Det är vår i luften,
det är lärkesång öfver bruna gärden,
det är sol, som glänser på hvita skyar
och borrar isen i sank på fjärden.

April, april! Genom all naturen
en fläkt af nyfödda drömmar sväfvar
om sommardagar, om blomningsdagar,
och hvarje hjärta i bidan bäfvar.

Hell unga knopp, som ur barken spirar,
hell sommarbådande fågelkvitter,
hell unga våg, som mot hafvet hastar
i vårsolns strömmande varma glitter.

Jag vet, att snart från frusna kvistar
skall hösten skrumpnade löfven skaka,
och sång skall tystna och vågen stelna.
April, april, du kommer ändå tillbaka!
