Süße Medizin
Language: German (Deutsch)
Choose for Diff
Ich ging im Park spazieren
und sprach von Liebe ihr,
begann zu rezitieren
ein Liebeslied von mir,

ein Liedchen voller Freuden,
dann eines voller Schmerz,
das Lied von meinem Leiden
und das von meinem Herz.

Sie blickte gar so freundlich,
so traut und lieb mich an
und fragt', was mich wohl glücklich,
recht glücklich machen kann.

„Du sollst es, Freundin, wissen:
Ich will nicht klagen mehr,
wirst du mich einmal küssen,
es fällt dir ja nicht schwer!“

„Nun, wenn ich dich kann heilen
durch diese Medizin,
nimm einen Kuss, einstweilen
den ersten, nur dahin!

Ja, Freund, es bannt die Schmerzen
die süße Medizin,
schenkt Labung deinem Herzen,
belebt, entzückt den Sinn.

Bist du betrübt zuweilen,
ist dir die Brust gepresst,
lass so, mein Freund, dich heilen,
es hilft - probatum est!“
