Heraus, heraus aus der Erde Schoß,
auf, macht euch aus Nacht und Banden los,
herauf ans Licht und ins Freie!
Ihr Keime, ihr Knospen, herauf, nur herauf!
Ihr Blüten, heran, ihr Kelche, brecht auf,
denn Frühling wird's wieder aufs Neue!

Ihr Vöglein, kommt aus der Fern' herbei,
stimmt an die urewige Melodei,
ihr tausendstimmigen, süßen!
Auf, Schäfer und Hirten mit Flöt' und Schalmei'n,
denn wisst, es will nun der Frühling herein,
den Schatz meines Herzens zu grüßen!
