Les chemins de fer
Language: French (Français)
Choose for Diff
   Vivent les chemins de fer,
   ô merveille
   sans pareille
   comme l'éclair
   on fend l'air.

A l'envi prenant leurs vacances
de leur métier tant soit peu las
tous les chevaux des diligences
vout désormais croiser les bras.
Vivent etc.

Piqué des malheurs qu'il éprouve
l'actionaire a du penser
que dans du fer au moins l'on trouve
peu de chances de s'enfoncer.
Vivet etc.

Le même char c'est frés cocasse
traine par un commun destin ;
l'equipage d'un homme en place
et les lions du sieur Martin.
Vivent etc.

En un jour par cette machine
mangeant sa glace au Kamschatka ;
l'on prendra son thé dans la Chine
et sa demi tasse à Moka.
Vivent etc.

Quand il faut se mettre en voyage
avant de lancer le Wagonm
au lieu d'avoine l'attelage
mange dix boisseaux de charbon.
Vivent etc.

Exilé loin de votre belle
grâce à ce magique secours
un instant vous porte auprés d'elle,
c'est tout profit pour les amours.
Vivent etc.

En cas d'accident in commode
le progrès du moins est tout clair,
on versait par l'autre méthode
par celle-ci l'on saute en l'air.
Vivent etc.

Die Eisenbahn
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the French (Français)
Choose for Diff
   Vivat hoch die Eisenbahn!
   Welch ein Wunder,
   blitzschnell munter
saust man hin den weiten Plan!

Endlich gibt es Feiertage,
ja endlich fängt die Ruhe an,
und aufgehört hat alle Plage
fürs arme, müde Postgespann!
Vivat usw.

Die Sorge der Aktionäre
wohl der Gedanke schnell vertreibt,
dass doch gewiss, bei meiner Ehre,
stets das Eisen ja gültig bleibt.
Vivat usw.

Dasselbe Fuhrwerk kann enthalten
(ei, welche bunte Compagnie!)
Menschen, junge so wie die alten
und Herrn Martins Menagerie!
Vivat usw.

Endlich fährt, ist just man gewesen
am Nordpol bei dem Eisesschmaus,
man zum Haisantee der Chinesen
und schnell nach Mokka ins Kaffeehaus!
Vivat usw.

Wann beginnen soll nun das Reisen,
den Wagen bestiegen man hat,
dann füttert man das Pferd von Eisen
statt des Hafers mit Kohle satt.
Vivat usw.

Weit entfernt von euren Schönen,
preist dankend des Dampfwagens Kraft,
weil, der Sehnsucht Wünsche zu krönen,
er zu der Teuren schnell euch schafft.
Vivat usw.

Im Fall es ein Unglück sollt' geben,
ist's egal doch, wenn man's bedenkt,
ob man lässt beim Umsturz das Leben,
ob in die Luft man wird gesprengt!
Vivat usw.
