Ständchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schlafe wohl, schlafe wohl!
Leise säuseln Abendwinde,
spielend mit dem Laub der Linde.
Es erglänzt im Kerzenschein
deines Stübchens Fensterlein;
betest du in frommem Flehen
für der Liebe Wohlergehen?
Ach, wie glücklich wäre ich,
dächtest du dann auch an mich!

Schlafe wohl, schlafe wohl!
Widerhallend in der Seele
klaget schmachtend Philomele.
Düster ist des Heimchens Sang,
feierlich der Glocke Klang.
Mögen Engel dich umgeben,
schützend dich im Schlaf umschweben,
holde Bilder lächeln dir;
träumtest du doch auch von mir!

Schlafe wohl, schlafe wohl!
Bald erglüht die Morgenröte
und erwacht wie zum Gebete
schickt ein munt'rer Sängerchor
dann sein Morgenlied empor.
Freundlich grüße dich die Sonne,
wecke dich zu neuer Wonne.
Suchet liebend dich mein Blick,
ach, dann weiche nicht zurück!
