by Edward Bernard Koster (1861 - 1937)

Middag
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
De zon is boven heuv'len uit
Gestegen in zijn gang,
En de aarde ligt als zonnebruid
Omvloeid door licht en zang.

O alles gloeit in klaren praal,
Gedrenkt van zeeg'nend licht,
Geraakt door 't bliks'mend zongestraal,
Verblind van aangezicht.

De zonneflitsen boren rond,
En dringen in mijn bloed;
Ik lig te rusten op den grond,
Bedwelmd van zonnegloed.
