by Karl Friedrich August, Herzog von Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1785 - 1837)

Mein Heimatland
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wo reiner Liebe goldne Strahlen
hernieden schon den Himmel malen,
und wo der Eintracht schönes Band
mit einem Zauber alle bindet,
wo Edles sich und Gutes findet,
da ist mein Heimatland.

Wo echte Treue segnend thronet,
in Hütten und Palästen wohnet,
wo nur ein warmer Druck der Hand
zum festen Bunde alle einet,
und wo verlassen keiner weinet,
da ist mein Heimatland.

Wo alle Tugenden dem Leben
die Weihe der Vollendung geben,
wo weder Wahn, noch Trug und Tand
den großen Frieden jemals trüben,
wo alle, alle treu sich lieben,
da ist mein Heimatland.
