by Sebastian Willibald Schießler (1791 - 1867)

Der Vewundete
Language: German (Deutsch)
In meines Herzens Grunde
liegt eine blut'ge Wunde,
die wird mir nimmer heil,
wie ich sie auch mag pflegen;
sie schlug kein wilder Degen,
sie öffnete kein Pfeil.

Von schönen Augenbogen
kam [wohl]1 ein Pfeil geflogen
und trank mein warmes Blut;
da sank [mir, hart]2 getroffen,
ohn' alles süßes Hoffen
[der junge]3 Lebensmut.
