Die Primeln und die Veilchen blühn,
es rauscht in tollen Sprüngen
das Bächlein durch das junge Grün
und frohe Vöglein singen,
umblickt vom Frühlingssonnenschein
in hellen Jubelmelodein:
Cantate! cantate!
Das ist die schönste Zeit im Jahr,
die Blütenzeit der Lieder,
drum klingt von Stimmen hell und klar
auch Erd' und Himmel wider,
und mahnend klingt's an jedes Ohr:
Auf, mischt euch in den frohen Chor!
