Fair Julia sitting by the fire,
an amorous spark,
with hot desire,
flew to her breast, 
but could not melt the chaste snow there,
And that resistance it did bide,
For grief it blushed and so, 
so it died.
Yet lest it should prove ought unkind,
It contrite ashes left, left behind.
