Julesang
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Kom, Jul, til Jord, kom høje Gæst,
som sad din himmelske Fader næst,
men lod dig svøbe af Moderhaand,
dig vented’ Støvdragt og Barneaand,
en fattig Krybbe saa haard og tom –
og dog du kom.

O, Ydmyghed: Se Stjernen stod,
hvor Oksen hviled’ ved Barnets Fod,
og Engleskarernes Pris og Lov
blev hørt, hvor Lammet hos Hyrden sov,
tre Konger knælede, da de saa
din Vugges Straa.

Saa knæler jeg ved Krybbens Gem:
O, Frelser, det var dit kaarne Hjem.
Mit Hjertes Hytte har ingen Pragt,
men Kongesøn i din Barnedragt,
tag Bolig her under Stjernens Skjul,
da faar jeg Jul!
