Seemannschor

Wir lichten die Anker zu großer Fahrt,
und singen um Masten und Segel geschart.
Haffvögel schreien, es pfeift die Bö,
wir aber grüßen aus Wantenhöh.

Wir fürchten nicht Riffe noch reißende Flut,
im Sturm ihres Atems da reift unser Mut.
Und brauen die Nebel in Luv und Lee,
dann brüllt die Sirene weit über die See.

Es halten die Blicke die Ferne umspannt,
der Ozean ward unser Heimatland.
Entfesselte Woge voll Lust und Weh!
Frei ist der Seemann und frei die See!
