Honoratiorenlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Heil dir und Preis, du Landeskraft
Der Honoratioren!
Wer Geld hat, braucht in Wissenschaft
Nicht sein Gehirn zu schmoren.
[Er]1 ist des Staates höchste Zier,
Er trägt die längsten Ohren;
Und seinen Ruhm verkünden wir,
Wir Honoratioren.

Durch's Leben gehn wir wie ein Bolz,
Wir Honoratioren,
Zu Lust und Ehr', zu Glück und Stolz
Vom Himmel auserkoren.
Und sterben wir, so ruft mit Macht
An seinen Himmelsthoren
Der heil'ge Petrus: "Platz gemacht
Für Honoratioren!"

"Verbotner Eingang" schrieben gleich
Wir Honoratioren
An ein besondres Himmelreich
Für Leute wohlgeboren.
Da sind wir selig ganz allein,
Vom Pöbel ungeschoren --
Wie könnten wir sonst selig sein,
Wir Honoratioren?!

J. Feyhl sets lines 5-8
