Mijn' moedertaal
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Mijn moedertaal verzaak ik niet,
klinkt zij niet altijd zacht,
toch heeft zij in het ernstig lied
een onweerstaanb're kracht
Hoe schoon klinkt zij in 't teederlied
van 't diep geschokt gemoed
Hoe machtig in den heldenzang
bezielend en vol gloed
wie op mijn taal of landaard smaal',
reik ik geen vrienden hand,
ik wil eerbied voor mijn Moedertaal
en voor mijn Vaderland
