Starlight Love
Language: English
One more day fades away,
Twilight comes on anew;
Fleeting hours, drooping flow'rs,
Song of the birds-and You!
Soft winds blow sweet and low,
Sighing from o'er the sea;
Starlight's here, with you, dear,
Nestling so close to me!

Stars shine high above
In this hour of love;
Here 'neath the starlight
I hear your voice a-whisp'ring,
Telling again that you love me!
Ev'ry little star
Shining from afar
Matches the lovelight
That in your eyes is beaming, -
My own, my Starlight Love!

April show'rs, Maytime flow'rs,
Glorious days of June;
Ev'ry day seems to say
Love shall unite us soon!
Heart to heart, ne'er to part,
Hasten that happy day!
How I long for that song, -
Love's old sweet song for aye!
