Lykken i min Sjæl!
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Lykken i min Sjæl!
Lykken er dit Billed
langs mit Levneds Veje
mellem Blomster stillet,

rejst paa Bjærgekam,
rejst i dunkle Dale,
- maler jeg dit Billed,
maa jeg Lykken male.

Underlig er Lykken -
tit en Sol, der bygger
Flammebro fra Himlen
ned blandt Jordens Skygger,

tit en Sol blandt Skyer,
ikke til at finde,
sidder dog og lyser
fjernt bag Bjærgetinde,
ligger som et Frøkorn
i den mørke Muld,
gemmer, skjult, en Verden
af smaa Blomster fuld.

Ak, saa dybt er fæstet
Lykkens Moderfrø,
kan ej, én Gang saaet.
visne bort og dø,

lever, om end Natten
spandt de Blomster ind,
- lever, som dit Billed
lever i mit Sind.
