by Julius Karl Reinhold Sturm (1816 - 1896)

Die Gärtnerin
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich habe im Lenz mein Gärtchen
Mit brennender Liebe besät;
Es prangte, ein purpurner Teppich
Im Sommer Beet an Beet.

Doch ach!  nach wenig Wochen
Stand wieder mein Gärtchen kahl;
Die brennende Liebe welkte
Am glühenden Sonnenstrahl.

Und wieder hab' ich mein Gärtchen
Mit Männertreue besät;
Es prangte blau vie der Himmel
Im Garten Beet an Beet.

Und aber nach wenig Wochen
Stand wieder mein Gärtchen kalt;
Es wehten tückische Winde
Die leichten Blüthen ins Thal.

Nun will ich mein Gärtchen bepflanzen
Mit dunkelm Rosmarin,
Und will ihn hegen und pflegen
Und groß mit Thränen ziehn.
