Chrysillis

Chrysillis, du mit verdens guld,
min en og ønskeskat,
mit lys i mørke nat!
Kom nærmer hid, o hjerte huld,
og læg dit øre til;
jeg for dig sjunge vil.
Lykkens sang, lykkens gang
vil jeg vise uden fejl,
hvor du mig, jeg og dig
skue må som i et spejl.
Solen skal ikke nå de Vestervande blå,
ej hænge lysen lok
på stjemeflok,
før jeg, Chrysillis, har gjort det for verden bar, 
hvor højt jeg elsker dig
bestandelig.

Du mindes vil den aftenstund,
jeg dig ved hånden fik
og ene hos dig gik.
Endog af månens røde mund
udblæste kuld og vind,
dog blussed frit dit sind.
Aftnens tvang var ej lang,
timer var som øjeblik;
tiden flød, talen brød
begge hjerters skjulte nik.
Da blev den dulgte glød oppustet klar og rød, 
indtil vor hjerteblod
i lue stod.
Da bandtes venskabsbånd, da raktes mund og hånd; 
godnat tog hver da glad
og skiltes ad.
