by Gunnar Fant (1879 - 1967)

Sång till Stockholm
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Du är oss alla kär,
vår riksklenod, vår sköna stad.
Din borg mot rymden bär
Tre kronors gyllne klöverblad.

Hör bruset, se Norrström!
Var annorstädes räcks en famn
mer öppen, kärleksöm,
än Mälarfjärd och Saltsjöhamn !

Och vem som stolt har gått
i takt med gardets vaktparad
på väg till kungens slott,
förälskad minns sin barndoms stad.

Hon skiftar anletsdrag,
hon ler och ömsar klädedräkt;
var dag ger nytt behag
vid Mälardrottnings morgonväkt.

Men djupblått skymningsljus,
som dröjer kvar kring Söders berg
och Skeppsbrons gavelhus,
är vår, är Stockholms egen färg.

Vid Bellmans Djurgårdsek,
i sommarkvällen söka vi
med lutans strängalek
vår stads, vår gömda melodi.
