by Emil Taubert (1844 - 1895)

Deutschlands Stern!
Language: German (Deutsch)
Kühn wölbt sich eine Brücke
Hoch über'm deutschen Main,
So golden glühn die Pfeiler
Im Regenbogenschein!
Und stolz das Ross darüber
Im funkelnden Gewand
Ein Kriegsherr reitet grüssend
Durch's ganze deutsche Land;
Ihm schallt es zu von nah und fern:
Hoch Kaiser Wilhelm, Deutschlands Stern!

Zur Brücke strömt mit Jauchzen
Der Brudervölker Schwarm,
Dem Norden wirft der Süden
Sich jubelnd in den Arm.
Das ist der Liebe Brücke,
Gewölbt von Reich zu Reich,
Von Fürsten und von Völkern
Geschlagen allzugleich!
Hört Ihr dem Ruf von nah und fern:
Hoch Kaiser Wilhelm, Deutschlands Stern!
