by Gustav Gerstel (1844 - 1889)

Die Rosen laß mich Dir küssen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Rosen laß mich Dir küssen,
Die Rosen vom blühenden Mund! --
Im Küsse, im brennenden Küsse,
Da werde mein Lieben Dir kund!

Mein Denken, mein Träumen und Dichten,
Mein ganzes, tiefinnerstes Sein
Schleicht still im Küsse, mein Liebchen,
Tief, tief in Dein Herzchen sich ein.

Und legst Du, müde, Dich nieder,
Wenn traulich schon dunkelt die Nacht,
So keimt es und blüht es im Herzen
Und schluchzet und weinet und lacht.

Dann klingt's in lieblichen Weisen,
Wie Glockenstimmen so rein,
Und flüstert von heil'ger Liebe
Und wiegt in den Schlummer Dich ein!
