Ins [Weinhaus]1 treibt mich dies und das,
Ich weiß nicht wer, ich weiß nicht was,
Doch treibt es mich ins Weinhaus.
Da kann ich sitzen stundenlang,
Mir wird nicht weh, mir wird nicht bang,
Ich sitze ja im Weinhaus.

Und kommt zu mir ein frohes Herz,
Da hebt sich an Gespräch und Scherz:
Willkommen hier im Weinhaus!
Zum Frohen kommt ein Frohrer dann:
Schenkt ein, trinkt aus und stoßet an!
Es ist doch schön im Weinhaus!

Wohl weiß ich, was die Hausfrau spricht:
O lieber Mann, so geh doch nicht.
So geh doch nicht ins Weinhaus!
Mich aber treibt bald dies bald das,
Ich weiß nicht wer, ich weiß nicht was,
Kurzum, ich geh' ins Weinhaus.
