Da kehrt ein süßer Frieden 
In meinem Herzen ein.

Aus stiller Dämm'rung steiget
Der helle Abendstern;
In leisem Beten schweiget 
Der Himmel nah und fern.

Es öffnen sich die Hallen 
Am gold'nen Himmelszelt; 
Heil'ge Gedanken wallen 
Wie Engel durch die Welt.

Mein selig Auge blinket,
Mein klopfend Herz wird weit;
In meine Seele sinket
