2. Frühlingswonne  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
  Nun haben die Fluren ausgeträumt,
Zu lieblich schien die Sonne,
Und müssen grünen ungesäumt:
O Wonne, selige Wonne!

  Die Bäume zaudern auch nicht mehr,
Zu froh klang's in den Lüften;
War'n sie verschlafen noch so sehr,
Sie müssen blühen und düften!

  Die Bächlein auch, im Morgenlicht
Zu rauschen will's verlangen:
Die lauen Weste dulden's nicht,
Daß fort sie zagen und bangen!

  Nun lacht und jubelt Alles bald
Und dankt der Frühlingssonne,
Der tiefste Grund, der höchste Wald:
O Wonne, selige Wonne!

Text Authorship:

  • by Friedrich Heinrich Oser (1820 - 1891), "Frühlingswonne", appears in Neue Lieder, in Erstes Buch, no. 21
