Zwei Duette für 2 Singstimme mit Begleitung des Pianoforte , opus 33

by Julius Sachs (1830 - 1887)

1. Schifferlied  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Es gleitet [mein]1 Schifflein durch Wellen und Wind,
Es schwebet so sicher, es fährt so geschwind,
Und schaukelt und wiegt sich so sanft in der Fluth;
Drum hab' ich's so gerne und bin ihm so gut.

Durch Wogen und Klippen trägt treu es mich fort,
Geleitet mich schützend zum ruhigen Port;
Gelagert in seinem mich bergenden Schoos,
Beneide ich nicht der Gewaltigen Loos.

Text Authorship:

  • by Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand Enslin (1819 - 1875), "Schifferlied", appears in [Lebensfrühling.] Gedichte für die Jugend
