Drei Lieder für 1 Singstimme mit Pianoforte , opus 410

by Franz Wilhelm Abt (1819 - 1885)

1. Ich schau so gern in deine Augen
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich schau' so gern in deine Augen,
glänzt doch ein Himmel d'raus zurück;
in ihren wunderbaren Tiefen
ruht still ein unaussprechlich Glück.

O weil auf mir, ihr holden Sterne,
schickt mir aus eurer schönen Welt
bisweilen einen Gruß, der freundlich
in meine düst're Seele fällt!

Erhellt die finst're Nacht des Lebens,
die mir verdunkelt jedes Bild,
und segnend schaut aus weiter Ferne
auf mich hernieder still und mild.
