An dem Brunnen steht ein Bursch
Bei dem Mägdelein,
Schweigend schaut er immer fort
Ihr in's Aug' hinein.

Schelmisch da die schmucke Dirn
Zu dem Burschen spricht:
"Du hast auf dem rechten Fleck
Deinen Mund wohl nicht?"

Gleich küsst auf den rothen Mund
Sie der Bursch da keck,
Und da hat er denn den Mund
Auf den rechten Fleck.
