opus 43

by

Translations available for the entire opus: ENG

2. Du hast in meinem Herzen
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
  Du hast in meinem Herzen
Ein reines Feuer erweckt,
Dran hab' ich erlosch'ne Kerzen
Wieder angesteckt:

  Kleine Liebeslieder
Sind wieder erwacht,
Leben und leuchten wieder
Nach langer Nacht.

  Leuchten in reinen Flammen,
Fürchte dich nicht davor,
Ihr Summen und Singen zusammen
Giebt einen lieblichen Chor.

  So mögen die Engel singen,
Die um Maria stehn,
Mit gefalteten Schwingen,
Und aufs schlummernde Kindchen sehn.

Text Authorship:

  • by Gustav Falke (1853 - 1916), "Keusche Liebe", appears in Mit dem Leben. Neue Gedichte, in Eine Liebe
