4. Blütenzeit
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Gretel wollte Veilchen suchen,
an dem Kreuzweg bei den Buchen
traf sie just den Jäger an.
Ja, der weiss Bescheid zu dagen,
weiss wo man in Frühlingshagen
Frühlingsblumen finden kann.

Drunten bei den Weidenkätzchen,
vor dem Waldquell sit ein Plätzchen,
wo die frühsten Veilchen blau'n.
Ist ein Plätzchen recht für jeden,
der ein Wörtchen wünscht zu reden,
und zu hören im Vertrau'n.

Gretel kam vom Wald gegangen,
wonnig glühten ihre Wangen:
"Lieber Wald, verschwiegen sei
wo wir uns nach Veilchen bückten,
wo wir Liebesrosen pflückten,
reich an Blüten ist der Mai!"
