2. Liebesfreude  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
In jedes Haus, wo Liebe wohnt,
Da scheint hinein auch Sonn und Mond;
Und ist es noch so ärmlich klein,
So kommt der Frühling doch hinein.

Der Frühling schmückt das kleinste Haus
Mit frischem Grün und Blumen aus,
Legt Freud in Schüssel, Schrank und Schrein,
Gießt Freud in unsre Gläser ein.

Und wenn im letzten Abendrot
An unser Häuschen klopft der Tod,
So reichen wir ihm gern die Hand,
Er führt uns in ein bessres Land.
