¡Chitón! y callad! Que jamás ha visto el orbe
Tan esteril porfiar, como el vuestro, violetistas,
Negando la necedad, como el vuestro, violetistas.
Uno delira, otro patea
Y a otro se le hinchan todas las venas.
No hay que discutir, pues quien más sabe
Es más tonto entre los de ese redil.

Juzgais dislate lo que yo os digo,
Insignes zánganos enfurecidos.
¡Chitón! y callad! Que sois un ejemplo vivo,
De que en este pobre mundo abunda la necedad.
Lo que yo afirmo es evidente
Y será un simple quien me lo niegue.
La cosa es así, y si no teneis
Enmienda a un más habreis de sufrir.
