Bonnes gens, j’ay perdu ma dame :
Qui la trouvera, sur mon ame,
Combien qu’elle soit belle et bonne,
De tresbon cueur je la luy donne,
Sans en prendre debat a ame.

La belle scet tresbien sa game,
Dieu scet comme loyaument ame :
Pour Dieu, qui l’ara mot ne sonne.
Bonnes gens, j’ay perdu ma dame.

Gardés la bien, la gentifame,
Que nul ne la blesse ou entame,
Car, par Dieu, la gente mygnonne
Est a chacun doulce personne.
Helas ! povre et desert me clame !
Bonnes gens, j’ay perdu ma dame !
