Geistliche Gesänge

by Oskar Zehrfeld (b. 1854)

1. Pfingsten  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Pfingsten ist kommen!
Wir haben's vernommen
Von der Glock' in der Luft,
Von den Blumen im Wald,
Brünnelein springen
Und Vögelein singen,
Dass es in aller Welt lustig schallt.

Pfingsten ist kommen!
Wir haben's vernommen
Und mit Maien geschmückt.
Lasset uns springen
Und fröhlich drein singen,
Dass es erschallt in den Wald hinaus.

Pfingsten ist kommen!
Wir haben's vernommen.
Wie sie sassen beisammen
Einmüthig gesinnt,
Lasset uns reihen
Zu zweien, zu dreien,
Zusammen die Hände geschwind.
