Drei Lieder (Choräle)

by Carl Geißler (1802 - 1868)

2. Lobet den Herrn, ihr Himmel!  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
  Lobet den Herrn, ihr Himmel,
Singet ihm, alles sein Heer!
  Lobet ihn, leuchtende Sterne,
Preiset ihn, Erdkreis und Meer!

  Lobt ihn frohlockend, ihr Stürme,
Jauchzet ihm, Hügel und Thal!
  Alles, was lebet und webet,
Jauchz' und dien' ihm zumal!

  Lobet ihn, die er erlöset,
Fürchtet ihn, Groß und Klein!
Heilig und hoch ist sein Name,
Mächtig und herrlich allein!

Text Authorship:

  • by Friedrich Heinrich Oser (1820 - 1891), no title, appears in Kreuz- und Trostlieder, in Erstes Buch, in 115. Lobgesang, no. 4
