3 Gedichte (Liebeslieder) von F. Löwe, op. 2

by Wilhelm Wenzel Steinhart (1819 - 1899)

1. Schön wie der Mond  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Schön, wie der Mond,
Der nächtlich einsam wallt,
So schön bist Du,
Doch auch so ernst und kalt.

Mein Herz ein See,
In dem Dein Bildnis ruht
Und bist Du nah,
So wechselt Ebb' und Flut.

Du aber teilst
Dies wilde Drängen nicht,
Streu'st still auf mich
Dein träumerisches Licht.

Text Authorship:

  • by Feodor Franz Ludwig Löwe (1816 - 1890), no title, appears in Gedichte, in Blätter der Liebe [formerly Lieder der Liebe], no. 2

Confirmed with Feodor Löwe, Gedichte, Stuttgart und Tübingen: J. G. Cotta'scher Verlag, 1854. Appears in Lieder der Liebe which was renamed in an 1860 edition to Blätter der Liebe, no. 2.
