    Droomt gansch een archipel
Van breed geblaâr der plompen
    Bij toover-klokkenspel

Uit gouden koepel ruischt er
    De klankenzang, die zacht
Versmelt tot teer gefluister
    In blauwen manenacht.

En de irisbloemen wuiven
    Hun weerbeeld in den vloed,
Waarover sterren schuiven
   In schemergouden gloed

Libellen-elfen glijen
    Midde’ in den blauwen glans
Waarin ze rhythmisch reien
    Een wondren rondedans.

Melodische geruchten
    Van harpen - die zacht-blij
Met klankenlijn verluchten
    De sprook van het maangetij…
