Paisajes

Song Cycle by Elifio Rosaenz (1916 - 2001)

1. Encanto  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: Spanish (Español)
No turba la tarde un vuelo
un noble zafiro oscuro.
Es el mar, y de tan puro,
luz azul se ha vuelto el cielo.

Azul es también la duna...
y en esa uniforme tela,
no hay más que una blanca vela
que sale como la luna.

Tan honda es nuestra ventura,
que algo en ella va a llorar.
Y lento solloza el mar
su constancia y su amargura.

  • by Leopoldo Lugones Argüello (1874 - 1938), "Encanto", appears in El Libro de los Paisajes, first published 1917

2. El lucero  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: Spanish (Español)
Sobre la nave temprana
que surca la onda serena,
va meciéndose en la entena
la estrella de la mañana.

El mar, entre vagos tules,
con suavísimo desmayo,
parece abrir en su rayo
sus torvas cejas azules.

Y aquietado su hondo afán,
como tu amor en mi vida,
la estrella cae dormida
en el seno del titán.

3. Aurora

Language: Spanish (Español)
A mi lado, tu pálida dulzura
 . . . . . . . . . .
