Verschwiegene Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)
In einem tiefen Walde
Da liegt ein stiller See,
Rings schießen zu grünem Hage
Die Bäume still zur Höh'.

Und in dem See, dem stillen,
Da schwimmt eine Lilie rein,
Kaum wagt sie das schüchterne Köpfchen
In die sonnigen Lüfte hinein.

Es schwimmt die Lilie, die reine,
Jahr aus Jahr ein im See
Und knospet und blüht und duftet,
Und keiner erschaut es je.

So schwimmt verschwiegene Liebe
Im Herzen immerfort,
Und knospet und blühet und duftet,
Weiß keiner davon ein Wort.
