Warnung und Wunsch
NOTE: the footnotes have been removed from this text; return to general view
Language: German (Deutsch)
Lebe nicht so schnell und stürmisch;
Sieh den holden Frühling prangen,
Höre seine Wonnelieder;
Ach, wie bleich sind deine Wangen!

Welkt die Rose, kehrt sie wieder;
Mit den lauen Frühlingswinden
Kehren auch die Nachtigallen;
Werden sie dich wiederfinden? -

Könnt' ich leben also innig,
Feurig, rasch und ungebunden,
Wie das Leben jenes Blitzes,
Der dort im Gebirg verschwunden!
