by (Karl) Wilhelm Osterwald (1820 - 1887)

Durch säuselnde Bäume
Language: German (Deutsch)
Durch säuselnde Bäume
   Im Mondenschein
Flattern die Träume
   Zum Fenster herein,
Regen der Schwingen
   Rauschend Gefieder
Klingen und singen
   Die lieblichsten Lieder.

Ihr frohen Gesellen,
   Nur immer herein!
Schließet den schnellen,
    Den luftigen Reihn:
Bis euch der Sonne
   Strahlen zerstreuen,
Soll selige Wonne
   Mein Herz erfreuen.

Aber den Einen
   Von eurer Schaar,
Den Schönsten der Kleinen
   Mit lockigem Haar,
Lasset geschwinde
   Zurücke sich schwingen,
Um meinem Kinde
   Viel Grüße zu bringen.
