by Friedrich Hermann Frey (1839 - 1911), as Martin Greif

Frau Holle
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schneeflocken wirbeln um und um,
Im Garten blüht die Weihnachtsblum,
Frau Holle fährt im Dorf herum --
Schnurre, Rädchen, schnurre!

Der Mond blickt aus dem Wolkengraus,
Weist ihr den Weg zu jedem Haus,
Daß sie die flinksten findet aus --
Schnurre, Rädchen, schnurre!

Bemerkt sie wo noch einen Schein,
Frau Holle hält und schaut hinein,
Die munter drehn, belohnt sie fein --
Schnurre, Rädchen, schnurre!
